looking to buy a Stinger but the ongoing doubt of 18 vs 19 inch wheels and tires = 167MPH
Is their a VIN # sequence that IDs the advertised 167. or do only the OEM 19 inch wheel and tire equipment achieve 167 which is how I understand this or perhaps the OBD II has a parameter I can check ?
Can any one verify Thanks

The 19" Michelin equipped cars have the 167 MPH limiter; because the Michelins are "Y" rated at 186 MPH+. The inclusion of AWD does not change this. Only when the 18" AWD has A/S tires (W rated at 160 MPH) is the top speed limited to 130 MPH.

on going confusion, are all 3.3 stingers w/ 19 inch summer ( Michelin, Bridgestone? ) tires are 167 capable ? door sill O E tire data check, on original tires.
I'm finding most Midwest dealers are 18" all season tires from Kia USA is there a differing capability among the GT VIN 35 the GT 1 VIN 45 and the GT 2 VIN 55 other then heads up display blind spot lane keeper etc.? with the GT 1 and GT 2

If the car came from Kia with 18" A/S it should be the restricted version. If it has 19" MPS4s it could have come from Kia that way or it could have been added on as an option. If it was added on at port or by the dealer the car will most likely still be restricted to the speed rating for the A/S tire version.

Unfortunately I don't know if there's a way you can verify (unless you go on a really long/fast test drive).
